Windows 7 Codec Pack

Windows 7 Codec Pack 4.2

The Windows 7 Codec Pack allows you to play all video and audio formats

Windows 7 Codec Pack, as its name states, is a pack of codecs that allow you to play every compressed audio and video file.
The pack provides two installation types: Easy and Expert. The Easy type installation allows you to install just the codecs that are necessary for your video and audio compressed files to be properly played.

In the Expert mode the program enables you to select which audio/video codecs and filters you want to install.

Also, the pack will enable you to play video and audio formats like MKV, OGM, FLV, FLAC, APE, OGG, etc using only the default Windows Media Player.

The codecs require Windows Media Player (version 9 or later) to work properly but they are also fully operative with any player that is compatible with DirectShow.

These codecs will work on Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 2003 and 2008 operating system.

Windows 7 Codec Pack is very useful when it comes to playing audio and video files using Windows Media Player. You will also be able to install other individual codecs without dealing with setup conflicts.
